Thomas Kinkade was inspired to paint this work while skiing in the moonlight on a cross country trip. The National Association of Limited Edition Dealers (NALED) awarded it as Graphic/Lithograph of the Year in 1992. It features a snowy, evening scene as the eye-catching red sleigh nears a warm and inviting cottage. The dusky aquamarine hue of the sky and the pearl white of the snow-blanketed ground make the striking crimson shade of the horse-drawn sleigh really pop.

Thom knows how to draw the viewer in an image, even if it's a chilly, night-time scene such as this one, because of the magnetic effcts of the warmly-lit cottage. This charming painting has a way of making one want to be in the snow, only to enter a cozy home, curl up in front of the fireplace, and wrap one's hands around a steaming cup of tea.
