A secluded grove where golden sunlight ribbons its way through the autumn trees is an idyllic place to celebrate one's faith. Whether or not the chapel building was actually present in this serene location, the viewer can certainly feel God's presence in the natural setting alone, from the meandering stream to the amber-hued falling leaves. Thom found inspiration to paint this image after a hiking expedition to Hope Valley in the Sierra Mountains.
